How It All Began

It’s always special when I get to work with couples who were introduced to my photography through friends, and that’s exactly how I connected with Hannah and Adam. They reached out after seeing my work capturing their friends Emma and Sam’s wedding, and it was such an honor to be asked to document their day. I knew it would be a joyful, meaningful wedding, and The Plough Inn in Eaton, with its warm charm and lovely spaces, was the perfect setting for their celebration.

Bridal Prep Excitement

Both Hannah and Adam got ready at The Plough Inn, which made for a wonderfully close-knit atmosphere from the start. There was an excited buzz in the air as soon as I arrived. The bridal suite was alive with laughter, plenty of prosecco, and the boys with a few pint cans making the rounds. Hannah was bouncing from room to room for hair and makeup. She was particularly cautious about moving between spaces to make sure Adam didn’t accidentally catch a glimpse of her. In fact, she even made a run across the car park, hidden under a shirt and surrounded by her bridesmaids, looking every bit like a celebrity shielded by her entourage!

The Emotional First Look

One of the most touching moments of the day was the first look between Hannah and her dad, who was overwhelmed with emotion seeing her as a bride. Little Jessie, Hannah and Adam’s son, joined them, adding to make such a sweet, intimate moment. Hannah’s dad shed tears of joy, and even the bridesmaids struggled to hold back theirs. Capturing such genuine moments always reminds me of the beautiful connections that weddings bring to life.

The Ceremony: Laughter, Tears, and Little Jessie’s Yawns

The ceremony was held in the barn at The Plough Inn, a cozy and inviting space filled with fairy lights that set the perfect tone. Hannah and Adam shared vows in front of family and friends in a ceremony brimming with love and a few humorous moments. Little Jessie, doing his part to entertain, managed to sneak in a yawn or two at all the right moments, which had everyone chuckling. While both sets of parents showing what great marriage examples look like as they all sat holding hands together. It’s these candid, authentic moments that add so much warmth to a wedding day.

Confetti, Photos, and Celebration

Following the ceremony, guests gathered for a confetti tunnel, which Hannah and Adam seemed to enjoy a lot. After a few group photos, I whisked the couple away to The Plough’s charming garden area for a few quiet moments and portraits. It’s always a privilege to witness the couple taking those first private moments together, capturing the joy and intimacy before they jump back into the celebration. It’s also really nice to just have a few minutes to gather themselves too and that’s what I try to enable during the couples shoot as well. They soon rejoined their family and friends for a relaxed reception with drinks, canapés, and so much laughter and cheer.

Heartfelt Speeches and Wedding Breakfast

The speeches took place before the wedding breakfast, and they were an absolute highlight, filled with laughter, shared memories, and deep emotion. With each speech, you could feel the bond shared between Hannah, Adam, and their loved ones, and there weren’t many dry eyes in the room by the end. Afterward, guests enjoyed a delicious meal, some choosing to unwind and chat over drinks outside, while others, who were ready to keep the energy high, gathered on the dance floor clearly ready to get the party started.

The Dance Floor Comes Alive

The dance floor was alive even before Hannah and Adam’s official first dance, with guests eager to jump into the celebration. The Kickstarts band was phenomenal, bringing everyone to their feet, even during their warm-up! Once the couple had cut the cake and shared their first dance, the energy truly reached its peak. The floor was full, the music was on point, and it felt like everyone was swept up in the spirit of the day.

Hannah and Adam’s wedding was filled with heartfelt moments, laughter, and pure joy, and I’m incredibly grateful to have been chosen to capture it all at The Plough Inn at Eaton. Their day was a perfect blend of intimacy and celebration, and it was a joy to witness them surrounded by the love of family and friends.
