Becky + Tim | The Maynard Hotel

Congratulations to Becky + Tim. It was a wonderful wedding day, and it was a pleasure to be nestled amongst your family and friends to document your wedding at The Maynard. The day began with me going to see Becky and her tribe at Becky’s parents’ family home, which was such a great environment to be in and document bridal prep. It’s a house full of so much character and memories for Becky. There were plenty of funny moments and laughter, including a first for me seeing Becky’s sister and one of the bridesmaids comparing forehead measurements. It all got very technical when Becky’s dad got some Digital Vernier Callipers out to check. Forehead sisters from other misters for life then girls!

It was also great to see some familiar supplier faces there, with Laura from Craft Makeup and Lauren Allison on bridal hair duties. After a very emotional first look from everyone at Becky in her dress, it was time to get in the surprise classic car, which was definitely a great surprise for Becky. Exciting times ahead as we all headed for The Maynard, where I met Tim and his groomsmen to capture the mood before the ceremony and grab a few photos of the chaps looking very dapper.

Becky + Tim’s ceremony was beautiful and especially cute, with the appearance of their very cute flower girl and son Ted. Ted especially loved drawing on the marriage register! It’s okay though, don’t worry; it was a blank sheet for the purposes of taking a photo. After a quick sip of fizz, Becky + Tim enjoyed the confetti tunnel moment with all their guests waiting outside to take the opportunity to chuck as many flower petals at the couple as they could.

It was still a fine day for April, so everyone enjoyed some drinks out on the new terrace area at The Maynard, and we took the opportunity to capture some of the group photos which Becky + Tim wanted. After some photos, hugs and canapes we all jumped in the car to nip up to Padley Gorge to capture some memorable portraits of Becky + Tim on their own before heading back to The Maynard for some more drinks, family time and then the wedding breakfast. I loved how Becky + Tim had named all the tables after their favourite Sheffield pubs, with the exception of the “Kids Table”, which was for the fun-loving adults, I think.

After the wedding breakfast, I got to document their wonderful speeches, which got plenty of laughter and tears from both Becky and Tim and the rest of their guests, too. Anyway, enough from me.
